Calgary Flames

The Calgary Flames are an American professional ice hockey team based in Calgary, Alberta. They are members of the Western Conference of the National Hockey League (NHL). The Flames were founded in 1972, and played their first season in Calgary.

 

Since their inception, the Flames have played their home games at the Scotiabank Saddledome. The Flames have won the Stanley Cup twice, in 1989 and 1991. As a result of the 2004–05 NHL lockout, the Flames were the first NHL team to play in Europe, when they travelled to Sweden to play two games against the Stockholm Tigers.

 

The Calgary Flames have been one of the most successful hockey teams in North America for the past decade. With a roster that is headlined by some of the best players in the world, the Flames are always a threat to win any game they play.

 

The Calgary Flames ice hockey team are back in action and they have some new and exciting players to show off this season. The team has made a lot of changes in the off-season and they look to be in good shape as they start the season.

 

The team has added some new players, including forward Elias Lindholm and defenceman Travis Hamonic. These two players will be important for the team this season and their addition will help to make the Flames a more competitive team.

 

The Flames have also made some changes to their coaching staff. Glen Gulutzan has been replaced as head coach by Greg Sherman, who was previously the team’s assistant coach. Sherman is a new coach and he will need to learn the team and its players.

 

The Flames have a lot of talent and they are looking to improve on their performances from last season. They are hoping to make the playoffs this season and they are starting the season well.
